Fulfillment / B2B fulfillment

B2B fulfillment services for distributors and brands

B2B fulfillment services for companies whose orders end up on a loading dock, not a doorstep. Fewer orders, bigger orders, and a receiver with opinions about how they arrive. We have shipped business-to-business out of Indianapolis since 2006, for companies small enough that every shipment still has a name attached to it.

The difference

B2B is not B2C with bigger boxes

Consumer fulfillment is a volume problem. One item, one box, one doorstep, repeated thousands of times, and the whole game is speed and cost per order.

Business fulfillment is a precision problem. A distributor orders a mix of items in case quantities. A retail distribution center expects the pallet built and labeled a particular way. A hospital system needs the count to be exactly right. There are fewer chances to get it right and the cost of getting it wrong is a chargeback, a rejected delivery, or a buyer who stops calling.

Those are different jobs, and they reward different things. B2B rewards a team that reads the requirements and counts twice.

What we handle

The work behind a business order

Case and pallet picking

Mixed-case orders, full-case picks, and pallet building for distributor and retail shipments. Multi-line orders are ordinary work here.

Retail-ready packs and displays

Components in, finished display or shelf-ready pack out. Built to your specification so the receiver can put it straight on the floor.

Kitting and assembly

Multiple components combined into one sellable unit before anything ships. This is the work large automated operations tend to decline.

Co-packing and bundling

Promotional bundles, multipacks, and repackaging runs built on the same floor that stores and ships them.

Labeling to your spec

Case and carton labeling built to what your receiver asks for, applied as part of the pack rather than as a separate handling step.

Order processing and support

Orders received, validated, and released without you touching them, with our call center available to take orders and answer as your brand.

Who this fits

Small and mid-sized distributors, and brands selling into retail

This is the center of what we do. Distributors moving product to dealers and resellers. Consumer goods companies selling into retail chains, where the kitting and display work is as much of the job as the shipping. Publishers moving titles to accounts. Medical supply companies, universities, and printing companies with orders that need care rather than speed.

What those have in common is that the work is hands-on. Somebody has to build the thing before it can ship, and somebody has to notice when a spec changes. Our clients have ranged from individual authors to multimillion-dollar companies, which means small volume is not a disqualifier and neither is complexity.

Working together

Send orders the way you already work

We take orders through our online order processing system, Excel file uploads, direct email, a shopping cart feed, or our call center by phone and fax. No platform migration required to become a client.

Inventory sits in our Indianapolis warehouse between orders, with client access to inventory and order activity available online so your team can check stock without calling. Freight that needs to turn fast rather than sit can move through the dock instead.

For a distributor shipping nationally, the address matters. Ground freight leaving Indianapolis reaches roughly 75% of the US population within one day, and the interstates that carry truck freight across the Midwest all meet here.

B2B fulfillment FAQ

Common questions about B2B fulfillment

What is B2B fulfillment?

B2B fulfillment is order fulfillment where the receiver is another business rather than a consumer. Think a distributor, a retail chain's distribution center, a hospital system, a university, or a dealer network. Orders are fewer and larger, and they arrive in case or pallet quantities. The receiving business usually sets its own requirements for how a shipment must be labeled, packed, and delivered.

How is B2B fulfillment different from B2C?

Volume moves the other direction. B2C is many small orders going to many addresses, and speed to the doorstep is the point. B2B is fewer, larger orders where accuracy and compliance with the receiver's requirements matter more than same-day delivery. A single miscounted case can trigger a chargeback or a rejected delivery, so B2B work rewards care over raw speed.

Can you build retail-ready packs and displays?

Yes. Retail-ready packs, promotional bundles, display building, and case-level kitting are among the things we do most. Product arrives as components, our team assembles it to your specification, and it ships as a finished unit the retailer can put on a shelf.

Do you serve small and mid-sized distributors?

That is most of our book of business. Small and mid-sized B2B distributors and consumer goods companies are where we fit best. That goes double when the job involves kitting, assembly, or handling a large automated 3PL would rather not take on.

Can we see our inventory and order activity online?

Yes. Client access to inventory and order activity through our warehouse system is available, so your team can check stock and see what has shipped without calling. Ask about it when we scope your account.
